Senior Account Executive Nordics (m/f/d)

The essential task of the Senior Account Executive is to create a basis for additional growth. This includes, in particular, the long-term expansion of business relationships with our major existing customers as well as the acquisition of new well-known customers. A special focus is on comprehensive customer support. It is not just about selling additional solutions and services, but also about optimizing customer processes and improving results for GK Software SE's top customers. For this purpose, individual customer development plans are created for defined customers.

The Senior Account Executive takes care of the specific concerns and interests of a single, strategically important customer and represents him and his requirements within the company. He builds the interface of this customer to GK and ensures clear responsibility as well as coordinated customer contact.

This position requires excellent communication skills to meet or exceed assigned sales targets. Also required is an ambitious and talented communicator who will interact equally with customers and cross-functionally with other departments within the company.

Your responsibilities:
  • Strategic and commercial development of existing customers with regard to new products in order to sustainably increase sales in the license business as well as associated services, maintenance and support
  • Acquisition of additional well-known new retailers in the EMEA region
  • Responsibility and development of sales regions in EMEA together with partners
  • Establishment of a relation matrix between GK and customers across all areas
  • Identification and evaluation of potentials of the most important new and existing customers
  • Relationship management with the customer across all levels, in particular the top level (C-level)
  • Establishment as a trusted adviser to the customer
  • Management of sales activities within GK
  • Technical responsibility for the customer pitch and virtual team building of different areas
  • Close cooperation with PreSales, Professional Service, Product, Support, Finance and other departments as required to accomplish sales goals and customer success
  • Intensive cooperation with our partners
  • Organization of customer events
  • Contact person for the customer regarding all customer issues towards GK as well as preparation of perennial customer plans and their updating
  • Ensuring the economic success of GK with the respective customer
Your profile:
  • Successfully completed degree (at least bachelor's degree required) and at least 10 years of sound experience in software + partner sales in the retail market (UK) with a proven track record of consistent performance or a comparable education with relevant experience and superior performance
  • You have expertise in the areas retail IT, store solutions, omnichannel and POS; preferably retail market expertise in the UK
  • You are able to challenge decision makers, build consensus with client executives and sell to the C-suite
  • You are a flexible problem solver with strong team player skills in an entrepreneurial environment
  • Strong listening skills as well as excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • You are able to demonstrate software solutions on-site with the client or via virtual meetings
  • You are organized, work efficiently and are able to maintain a high level of production while delivering excellent process and administrative performance
  • Fluent English skills (both verbal and written); German skills desirable
  • Willingness to work outside of standard business hours as necessary
  • Ability to travel (up to 50%)
