DevOps / Site Reliability Engineer for AZURE / Kubernetes Cloud Solution (m/f/d)

As a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineer (m/f/d) for our new teams in Berlin and Hamburg, you are responsible for the stability and performance of our IT systems. You will develop the test and production environments as a member of our development teams, automate all manual tasks and monitor your clusters independently. The job profile is new and a great opportunity for system administrators or software engineers interested in running large cloud systems. This job includes both: practical skills, a deep technical understanding and the important ability to plan and develop systems in a goal-oriented way.

Your responsibilities
  • Support and further development of the cloud based system landscape
  • Setup, administration and operation of cloud platforms (ideally MS-Azure)
  • Support for rollouts and migrations
  • Customer consulting, support on technical issues and on setting up as well as configuring servers and infrastructure
  • Designing, expanding and optimizing our Internet-based applications (cloud services)
  • Configuration, administration and patch management for customer installations in German high-security data centers and in the client environment
  • Takeover of Incident-, Request Fulfillment-, Change- and Problem Management for Cloud Applications (support of the applications in daily business)
Your profile
  • Completed technical studies or comparable IT training
  • Profound knowledge in the following or comparable technologies and methods/ tools:
    • Docker, Openstack, Terraform, Kubernetes
    • SLES, Redhat, CoreOs
    • Java (e.g. Spring Boot, Liberty)
    • Script languages like Bash
    • CI/CD Gitlab
    • Elastic Search, fluentD, Kibana, Grafana, Prometheus
    • Agile methods like Scrum and Kanban
  • Deep expertise in administration and operation of cloud services as well as IT infrastructures and networks
  • Experience in working with MS Azure and database knowledge desirable - ideally Cosmos-DB
  • Knowledge of application management
  • Good knowledge of German and English
