The Functional Consultant role partners with GK's customers to design and deliver retail solutions aligned with business objectives. This role leads discovery sessions, translates business requirements into functional specifications, and ensures the successful implementation and adoption of our solutions. The Functional Consultant serves as the bridge between customers, product management, and delivery teams to ensure the solution meets business and technical needs. The Functional Consultant is an expert on the use, configuration, and design of GK products.

What You’ll Do
- Make it Real: Partner with clients and internal teams to shape tailored solutions from GK’s portfolio that drive measurable results.
- Lead the way: Guide clients through the implementation of our powerful GK standard software.
- Lead consultative sessions to identify business needs and translate them into clear functional and technical requirements.
- Facilitate interactive workshops and deliver solution concepts that align technology with client strategy.
- Oversee and support deployment and implementation activities, ensuring smooth delivery and quick issue resolution.
- Collaborate to enhance and optimize system functionality.
- Be the Expert: Serve as the go-to functional/technical advisor for our clients.
- Rethink Retail: Stay in front of emerging trends, analyze, and design next-gen business processes across omnichannel environments.
What You Bring
- Education: Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or relevant discipline.
- Experience: Strong experience in the Central/Latin America retail market and POS process knowledge. Hands-on experience with databases, markup languages, and REST APIS and related tools.
- Expertise: Strong understanding of POS / Backoffice, ERP / Store processes, XML, APIs, and SQL. Knowledge of payment processing and fuel systems is a plus. Understanding of cloud environments and system integrations is a plus.
- Skills: Critical thinking, detail-oriented, excellent communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, stakeholder management, comfortable working across business and technical teams
- Mindset: Proactive. A sharp tech, efficient concept-to-solution mindset, with a passion for solving real-world challenges.
- Language: Professional fluency in English and Spanish
- Flexibility: Ability to travel within the region and globally based on client needs (20-40% annually).
