We are looking for a senior developer who is passionate about Cloud development to join our interdisciplinary and international team. Besides participation in exciting projects, you will have the opportunity to work with a state-of-the-art cloud tech stack. Furthermore, you are responsible to review merge request to ensure excellent code quality and to create detailed stories for the development team. 

Your responsibilities 

• Responsibility for existing and newly developed software modules / services for our existing self-scanning and scanless store solutions. 

• Ensure excellent code quality of services and guidance of the development team.  

• Development and implementation of micro services using Docker / Kubernetes. 

• Participate in every stage of the development process and release process of our products. 

• Responsible to solve tricky technical topics with your analytical skills. 

• Work closely with other lead developers and your team members in an agile development process. 

• Accompanying development and creation of unit tests, integration and performance tests. 

• Supporting the creation of technical documentation.  

Your profile 

• Completed degree in informatics or comparable education. 

• Minimum 5 years of experience in cloud-based software development.  

• Very good knowledge of Java / EE as well as client- and server-side frameworks. 

• Very good knowledge in design patterns and best practice software-design. 

• Solid experience in building scalable distributed applications, micro-service architectures and cloud platforms. 

• Very good knowledge in micro service development, Open API/ Swagger, YAML, JWT, OAuth2. 

• Very good knowledge in: Eclipse, Spring Boot, Apache Kafka, Maven, Vue.js, Git, JUnit, CI / CD, Clean Code, Design Patterns. 

• Experience in e-commerce environment preferable, e.g., commerce systems. 

• Very good command of English, German would be a plus.
