We are looking for an experienced Senior Controller (m/f/d) who will play a crucial role in our international finance team. As a Senior Controller (m/f/d), you will initially be trained in Germany to learn about our financial processes and systems before taking on a central role for on-site financial management at our site in the US. This position requires both expertise in controlling and the ability to collaborate across locations.
Your responsibilities
- Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of financial policies, procedures, and controls
- Prepare financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses
- Identify financial trends, opportunities and risks to support informed business decisions
- Work closely with global teams to ensure financial information is accurately captured and analyzed
- Conduct financial analysis to evaluate business unit performance and derive recommendations for action
- Continuously improve processes and systems to increase efficiency
Your profile
- Degree in business administration, finance or comparable qualification
- At least 5 years of professional experience in finance or corporate controlling, ideally in an international environment
- Sound knowledge of accounting standards (HGB, IFRS) and controlling methods
- Experience in the preparation of financial reports, budgets and forecasts
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with teams at different levels
- Business fluent in German and English
- Willingness to travel internationally and work at our U.S. location after the initial training period
